A Note from our Dean
For more than three centuries, William & Mary has been gathering the nation’s brightest minds for a better world. People come here wanting to understand and change the world — and we do.
In the School of Education, that means working to advance opportunity and promote well-being in our schools, communities and beyond. Our mission is to transform lives, and we do that by recognizing and nurturing the inherent dignity and possibility of every individual.
Justice and equity are at the heart of our work. We know that in order to equitably meet the needs of all people, we must address historic and systemic opportunity gaps and center the lives and experiences of those marginalized in our society.
We work closely with schools, clinics, and organizations in our community to provide meaningful and practical field experiences for our students. These community-engaged partnerships also give us the opportunity to learn from practitioners and tackle problems of practice together.
At William & Mary, you will find a supportive community that cares about doing work that matters and making a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.
We encourage you to explore our degree programs and consider William & Mary as you pursue the next step in your journey.
