School Leadership Institute/SURN

The School Leadership Institute, founded in 1994, is a center at William & Mary School of Education. In partnership with K-12 and university educators, SLI specializes in designing and leading professional learning for Virginia's K-12 teachers, instructional leaders, principals, and central office leaders. 

As a center, SLI houses the School-University Resource Network, which is a network of partnerships between Virginia K-12 educators and William & Mary faculty. Commonly known as SURN, this dynamic network of partnerships makes us who we are: a collaborative group of educators dedicated to connecting relevant research to practice through quality professional learning.
