Directions from Richmond and points west: Take 1-64 East to Exit 234 (Rte. 199 East) toward Lightfoot. Follow Rte. 199 approximately 6 miles to the Monticello Ave. exit. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left at the light onto Monticello Avenue. Drive approximately 1.5 miles. At the sixth light is a sign for the School of Education.
Directions from Norfolk and points east: Take 1-64 West to Exit 242A (Rte. 199 West) toward Williamsburg/Jamestown. Follow Rte. 199 approximately 6 miles to the Monticello Avenue exit. At the bottom of the ramp, bear right onto Monticello Avenue. Drive approximately 1.5 miles. At the sixth light is a sign for the School of Education.
Airports
Newport News-Williamsburg International (PHF) is about 20 miles east of campus. Richmond International Airport (RIC) is about 45 miles west of campus. Norfolk International Airport (ORF) is about 45 miles east of campus.
Shuttles vary based on the airport, but a few companies include Tidewater Coach (757-218-9539); Groome Transportation (804-222-7222); and Carey Transportation & Airport Connection (757-853-5466).
Parking
As a conference guest, display a complimentary parking pass in your windshield. Your conference organizer should distribute an electronic copy of the pass to you in advance of the event so you can print and post the pass in your vehicle. If for some reason you do not receive it, ask for a hard copy at registration. Check your pass for specific instructions about which lot to use.
Wireless Internet
As a guest, receive complimentary wireless Internet access on your personal laptop for the duration of the conference. If yours is a single-day event, select the "I am a conference guest" option when you first open your browser. If your event is longer than a day, change the radio button to the multi-day option and type "pdc@wm.edu" as your sponsor.
