Jacqueline Woodson
    All information about this author can be found here on her site.  It includes background and a list of her books. Links for readers, teacher, and caregivers are shown at the top, and specific information to help each individual can be found there.  The teacher link gives guides of how to use some of her books in the classroom, written by Jacqueline's publishers.  Jacqueline mentions that all the information a student my need to know about her or her books can be found on this site.

Jane Kurtz
    Author of both children's books and professional development books, Jane Kurtz's website provides information about herself: her childhood in Africa, trips she has taken to other countries, and her own children.  Her books are on a range of topics, including many about Ethiopia.  Links include lists of sites on Books, Multicultural, Africa, Jewish, and Kids and Family.

Kimberly Willis Holt
    Kimberly's site includes a creative biography, links to many resources on herself and other authors, other sites of interest, writing tips (arranged in a web), lists of her novels and picturebooks, and honors she has won.  Kimberly lived many places in her life and the inspiration for her books from her life experiences.

Dav Pilkey
    A very animated site with illustrations resembling those from Dav's books.  The "Boring Grown-Up Stuff" page includes suggestions for teachers: how to teach selections of his books, how to teach kids to draw cartoons, and inspiring kids by sharing Dav's personal story.  This is a well organized and fun site, and easy for kids to use.

Esme Raji Codell
Esme Raji Codell's Blog
    This site has a list of the books by Esme and a link to her blog.  Much of the information on this site is about Children's Literature in general.  She also has a link to The Backroom, a place dedicated to adults who want to get children to enjoy reading.

Sharon Creech
    A biography, books, and teaching guides are all available on Sharon's website.  On her biography page, a visitor can read an interview, see pictures, and find out how contact Sharon.  On the "Teach Creech" page, there are teaching guides, reading group information, and links to find more information about Sharon.

Shannon Hale
Shannon Hale's Blog
    Shannon's site includes information such as a biography, how to contact her, and questions and answers.  There are "extras" from her books, including discussion guides, lost chapters and "deleted scenes", rewriting, and an option to read the first chapter.  The links provided are resources for writers and readers and other sites of interest.  There are games and quizzes and links for young writers.  Shannon also has a "choose-your-own-fantasy" story on the web on her site.

Uma Krishnaswami

    Uma Krishnaswami's site includes her biography, a list of her books, school programs and writing workshops that she conducts, notes on the writing process, writing links, and also South Asian links.  This is a great site for those interested in multicultural literature.  Uma has written several books which have won great praise from authors and readers alike.

Rick Riordan
Rick Riordan's Blog
    Rick Riordan is an author of both children's and adult books, but this site focuses on his work with children's literature.  This is a great site for mythology and fantasy, specifically Ancient Greece.  Camp Half-Blood is a fictional place based on Rick's character Percy Jackson and his adventures.  There are other great resources on Greek Mythology, online games, and a teacher's guide to the Percy Jackson series.

Daniel Pinkwater
    Daniel Pinkwater's website's homepage includes three choices of where to visit.  You can read a posting from him, visit a website about Daniel, or read his book The Neddid.  The site about Daniel includes numerous links to his books, public appearances, and background information.  If you visit The Neddid website, you can read excerpts from the book and post your thoughts.

Mo Willems
Mo Willems's Blog
    Mo Willems is an illustrator of many children's books, including Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!  His website features a biography and a list of the books he has illustrated.  He also draws cartoons, and animates his own show, which can also be found on his website.  News from Mo is posted on the opening page of his website and also features a "sketch of the week".

Jane Yolen

This site, of course, has tons of information on her many books.  But it also has essays, poems, a journal, answers to frequently asked questions, a brief biography, her travel schedule, and links to resources for teachers and writers.

Judy Blume

Judy's website include information about her books, writing, censorship, and about how she became and author.
