National Book Festival

Includes videos of the presentations of children's and young adult authors at the National Book Festival since its inception in 2000.

Scholastic.com Librarians: Author and Illustrator Index
    Scholastic has an extensive list of biographies and interviews listed on this site.  It is free of charge.

CCBC Webcasts
    This site has a list of videos of lectures, which need RealPlayer in order to be heard and/or seen.   There are a few interviews with authors from the CCBC newsletter found on this site.

    The "interviews" link on the left of this site will bring you to a list of authors.  Each author interview has a photograph of the author, with links to the interview and the author's website.

HarperCollins Publishers Digital Media Cafe
    This site allows free downloads of author interviews.  There is audio of the interview as well as audio of books read by their authors.

Meet the Author USA- Bringing books to life
    A list of authors introducing their books in their own words can be found on this site.  There are more general literature authors than specific children's authors, but you can search by a particular author's name to find out if a clip is available.

CCBC- "Meet the expert" interviews
    This list of author interviews gives some information about the author, their book, and what was discussed during the interview.
