I'm Determined Project

 I'm Determined, a project developed and sponsored by Virginia's Department of Education Training and Technical Assistance (T/TAC) centers, supports students' efforts to develop skills and access resources to enable them to lead self-determined lives. Educators in local school divisions learn how to teach students the components of self-determined behavior and how to design opportunities for students to practice these skills at school. Goals of the project include increasing student involvement and leadership in the process of developing their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), providing leadership opportunities for students with disabilities and helping teachers recognize that families are instrumental in the development of their children's self-determination skills.
