As a student pursuing a master's degree in Higher Education, why did you choose this field?
I am passionate about helping increase access to higher education in STEM fields and ensuring that STEM students have the resources they need to succeed.
What do you hope to be doing after graduation? In 10 or 15 years?
I want to work at a community college where I can help STEM students develop the necessary skills and networks to transfer into STEM programs at other institutions.
Why did you choose to apply to William & Mary and specifically to this program? What sets this degree program apart from those offered at other colleges?
The opportunities for graduate assistantships and reputation from colleagues at Christopher Newport University who received their advanced degrees through the School of Education.
What has been the most influential experience you've had so far in your program?
My experience working in the Cohen Career Center as a graduate assistant doing STEM career advising has been fascinating to me. It's helped shape my interest in working with STEM students.
