John Lamanna (Counselor Education)
I am a first year doctoral student in the Counselor Education program, seeking licensure as a Marriage & Family Therapist and Professional Counselor. My background in School Psychology and experience in schools and social service agencies led me to pursue a doctoral degree which incorporated both research and applied practice. The College of William & Mary appealed to me because it not only exceeded my expectations, but also afforded me the opportunity to build on my skills and realize my potential as a leader in the professional field of mental health.
The dedicated and acclaimed faculty, low student-to-teacher ratio, and varied research and training experiences made the decision to come to The College of William and Mary very easy for me. In addition, the tradition of the school and intimate setting of the campus provide the optimal environment for growth and professional development.
