Jessica Lloyd (Family Counseling)
I am a first year student in the Counseling Program, with a concentration in Marriage & Family Counseling. I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2005 with
degrees in Psychology and Anthropology. After
graduation, I spent three years in
Arizona where I worked as a claims adjuster for an insurance
company. I knew that I wanted to go to grad school almost as soon
as I finished at UVA. After four years in the "real word" going back to school
seemed like a really daunting task. However, after my first days in both the
classroom and at my graduate assistantship, where I work for the Student
Activities office, my fears dissipated. The College truly exemplifies its adage
of, "Who comes here belongs here".
In addition to a strong reputation and academic rigor, I wanted a graduate school that would facilitate personal growth and exploration while helping me develop my professional identity. At the College of William and Mary, I am sure that I have found this place. I belong.
