Description: Helping struggling readers become more engaged, motivated, and independent learners can be a challenge. Often they are unable to meet the reading and comprehension demands of their content area classes. Fortunately, there are a number of effective approaches available to help your students improve their reading skills. This interactive workshop will offer a variety of evidence-based practices, strategies, and activities that will foster a sense of competence and enthusiasm in your students, and ensure the success of your efforts to improve your students' reading skills.
