4-10 MON - SUN Pre-registratioin for Summer Session and Fall Semester 2009 graduate classes for degree-seeking students and returning unclassified students who were enrolled in Spring 2009
5 TUE Last day to withdraw from a Spring Semester 2009 course
8 FRI DEADLINE for May 2009 doctoral degree candidates to submit their final paperwork (receipts from the Cashier and Swem Library, as well as the "Survey of Earned Doctorates") to Graduate Registrar in the Office of Academic Programs (Jones Hall, Room 100)
10 SUN

MOTHER'S DAY

11-12 MON-TUE Last week of graduate classes
12 TUE Deadline for students to complete work for Fall 2008 classes with "I" (incomplete) grades
15 FRI Graduating student Spring Semester grades due at 9:00 a.m. (both undergraduate and graduate)
17 SUN

Graduation and the School of Education's Post-Commencement Reception

20 WED Remaining Spring Semester grades due at noon (undergraduate)
22 FRI Remaining Spring Semester grades due at noon (graduate)
25 MON Memorial Day (College closed. Graduate and undergraduate classes will NOT be held.)
29 FRI Make-up day for classes that would have been held on Memorial Day.
JUNE
1 MON Orientation for newly admitted C&I students (9:00 a.m. - noon; location TBA)
For students who took classes in Spring 2009 or Summer 2009, registration for the Fall Semester 2009 continues through Friday, August 7, 2009.
JULY
3 FRI DEADLINE to apply for WINTER (formerly December 2009) graduation
3 FRI College closed (in recognition of July 4th holiday). Graduate classes will not be held. Undergraduate classes will be held.
4 SAT July 4th holiday
24 FRI DEADLINE for August 2009 doctoral degree candidates to defend their dissertations
31 FRI Last day of EARLY REGISTRATION for Fall Semester 2009 (ends at midnight)
AUGUST
7 FRI Deadline for registering for the September 17-18, 2009, doctoral comprehensive exams

24 MON

General graduate REGISTRATION for Fall Semester 2009 (Jones Hall 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) for non-degree seeking students who are enrolling for the first time. Other students register on Wednesday.

Registration for continuing students (both degree-seeking and unclassified students who were enrolled during Spring Semester 2009 or Summer 2009 but did not pre-register for the Fall Semester in April/May 2009).
