Spring is in the air! While the mornings are still cool, we’ve been having many sunny skies with warm days. One of my favorite things to do here in Williamsburg is go for walk or run on one of the beautiful trails.
Just this past weekend, I took advantage of the 67 degree weather to go up to York River State Park with my puppy, Ollie. It was a quick fifteen minute drive – I hopped on the interstate and before I knew it, I was there. While they had many trails, Ollie and I walked a good three miles around in the woods. We of course had to stop and sit to take pictures at the overlook sections. Really, he just sat patiently as I snapped pictures of him with the water in the background! York River State Park is just one of the great parks around here. I’ve also been to Waller Mill Park and Freedom Park, which offer lots of trails and other activities. I’m hoping for more spring days, but you just never know with Virginia’s weather. It always manages to surprise you!
