I generally teach one or two courses per year in the area of technology planning or on topics of higher education management and administration. My "day job" at William & Mary is as Director of Academic Information Systems. My current courses include Data-Driven Decision Making and Action Research in the Executive EdD program, Adult Education in the Higher Education area and Educational Technology Planning in the Curriculum and Educational Technology Planning area.
My research interests focus on professional development and continuing professional development, along with action and applied research.
Our group is continuing to work with the staff at Swem library on a variety of projects, including this summer's launch of a new version of the Faculty Digital Center, and some ongoing work on helping librarians to work with media-savvy students. Additionally, a project that I've been working on for more than a decade will launch this summer – moving the campus to an online evaluation system from the current paper-based system. I've also been doing some very interesting collaborative work with the Mason School of Business in thinking about ways to stimulate creativity and innovation in responding to changes in the higher education environment.
