The Gifted Education Administration concentration in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership is designed for holders of Master's degrees who wish to prepare themselves with the knowledge and skills required to assume leadership roles in gifted education at local, state, and national levels. A primary goal is to enhance the talent development of gifted individuals, including those who are culturally and linguistically diverse.
The primary objectives of the Gifted Education Administration concentration are to: (a) recruit, enroll, and support highly qualified and diverse doctoral students who are capable of completing a competency-based program, and (b) provide a comprehensive preparation program that will ensure proficiency in those competencies essential for collaborative planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs for students with special talents.
